Mollepata to Soraypampa

  • After breakfast, continue our journey for approximately 1 hour to Soraypampa (3,900m above sea level).
  • Soraypampa serves as the trailhead for our hike to Humantay Lake.
  • Receive a briefing from our guide before beginning the ascent.

Soraypampa to Humantay Lake

  • Begin our 3-kilometer ascent to Humantay Lake (4,200m above sea level).
  • The hike takes approximately 1.5 hours and is considered easy to moderate in difficulty.
  • For those who prefer, horses are available for rent at an additional cost.
  • Enjoy spectacular views along the trail. On clear days, witness the imposing Apu Salkantay and Apu Humantay mountains in the distance.
  • Upon reaching the lake, marvel at the turquoise waters contrasting against the snow-capped peaks.
  • Free time to take photos, relax, and participate in a brief offering ceremony to the mountain spirits (Apus).

Return to Soraypampa and Journey to Cusco

  • Begin our descent back to Soraypampa.
